Anna – Preschool Coordinator / Early Childhood Educator
Anna began her journey in Early Childhood Education in 1998 and has experience in a wide variety of roles in the field.  She strives to provide a fun, welcoming, safe and inclusive environment,  full of rich learning experiences, where children will feel comfortable to express themselves, socialize with their peers, and learn through play.  Anna enjoys going on nature walks, long bike rides, listening to all kinds of music, singing, and camping,    When she is not at the preschool, Anna looks forward to spending time with her husband and their two teenage daughters.

Eric – Early Childhood Educator
Eric has been working with children for over 5 years. He started as a piano teacher, with a Bachelors of Music, teaching children with a focus on creativity. He pursued Early Childhood Education after teaching music to preschoolers and finding a new passion in creating curriculum for early learners. He has worked in play-based, Montessori, Reggio-inspired, outdoor-nature based daycare/preschool programs all across Richmond. Eric is looking forward to using music, drama and play to spark learning in our preschoolers at Rompers Preschool.

Erin – Early Childhood Educator
Erin graduated from the Early Childhood Education program at Douglas College in 2017 and holds a Early Childhood Education certificate. She began working in childcare over 7 yeas ago, in a wide variety of roles.  Working with children and families has always been a passion of hers – especially in Early Childhood Education.  When she is not at work, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their dog.  She also loves to fill her free time with crafting and baking.  Erin is very excited to be a part of the Early Learning team at Thompson Community Centre!

Joey – Early Childhood Educator/Support Worker & Time for Twos Instructor
Joey holds an ECE Assistant certificate and is currently studying towards receiving her Early Childhood Education diploma. During her free time, she enjoys photography, exploring new places, and jamming to tunes on her ukulele. She loves implementing creative aspects in the classroom through imaginative play, music and dance, as well as fun arts and crafts activities. Joey believes that everyone is an artist, and that it’s never too early or late to start!

Maria – Time for Twos Instructor
Maria is a pediatrician by training and was a stay-at-home mom for many years raising her two boys.  She is excited to be back working with children and especially enjoys working with children who require extra support.

Melanie – Early Childhood Educator & Support Worker
Melanie was born and raised here in Richmond!  She is a soccer mom of three:  Two sons and one daughter.  She has had the opportunity to work in many other Richmond Community Centres throughout her many years as an Early Childhood Educator and is currently working towards re-certification as an ECE, after being away from the field when her children were young.  Melanie is excited to be working at Rompers!

Nicole –  Early Childhood Educator & Support Worker
Nicole is a graduate from Capilano University and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education in early 2019.  She was born and raised in Richmond.  Nicole is dedicated to fostering and supporting meaningful relationships with children where they can co-create and co-construct knowledge together.  In her free time she loves spending time with her family, travelling to warm destinations, laying on the beach and going on hikes.  Nicole is so happy to a part of the Thompson teaching team!

Sam – Early Childhood Educator
Sam is a graduate from Langara College and received her Early Childhood Education Diploma in 2017, as well as her citation in Special Education. When she’s not at work or busy with her studies, she enjoys going for walks in the sunshine, spending time at the gym, and hanging out with her friends and family.  Sam has always had a passion for working with children, and is amazed by the development and progression that takes place during the early years.

Samara – Early Childhood Educator
Samara has over 20 years experience in the field.  She has enjoyed working in various programs over the years, including childcare, preschool, special needs support, and as a mom of three.  She is dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment, filled with engaging learning experiences.   Samara is born and raised in beautiful British Columbia and has called Richmond home for many years.  She loves exploring in nature, the beach, long walks, and spending time with family.

Tina – Early Childhood Educator
Tina has been an Early Childhood Educator for over 20 years, and has taught in many wonderful schools over her career.  She loves children, gardening, sensory play and yoga. She has lived in Richmond for her whole life. Tina is a mom of two teenage boys, one of whom actually went to Rompers preschool too!  She has always loved it at Rompers and is very excited to join our team this school year.

Tomomi – Early Childhood Educator/Support Worker & Time for Twos Instructor
Tomi holds an ECEA certificate. She has worked at Thompson Community Centre as an instructor for Time for Fun, Active Start, Paint and Play programs, as a volunteer in our Summer Preschool Camps, and as a preschool mom.  She enjoys working with children and learning from them.   Tomi is a mother of five who likes shopping, cooking and drinking bubble tea.
