Thompson Early Learning's team consists of educators with a variety of childcare backgrounds, all of whom have completed criminal record checks and hold valid first aid certification. The teachers are trained and certified as Early Childhood Educators, and meet all the requirements outlined in the Child Care Licensing Regulation. Qualified substitute staff will be called in when the teachers are away for reasons of illness, vacation, or professional development in order to meet the staff/child ratio as required by Child Care Licensing.
Professionals will also visit the program throughout the year such as: public health nurses, dental check-ups, supported child development, speech language pathologists, and kindergarten school-based teams.
From time to time, the program will receive practicum students in the Early Childhood program.
We also welcome volunteers (parent or student) who must have submitted and passed a criminal record check.
